“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Mangaluru | June 23, 2025:
St Aloysius Pre-University College, renowned for fostering academic brilliance and holistic development, held a grand Felicitation Ceremony to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of its students in the II PU Board Examination 2025, where the college secured an impressive 99% overall result.
The event, held in the Loyola Hall, began on a graceful note with a soulful prayer by the College Choir, followed by an elegant welcome dance, which set the tone for the day’s celebrations.
Principal Rev. Fr Clifford Sequeira, SJ, delivered the welcome address, marking the day as one of celebration and gratitude. He appreciated the parents for being constant sources of strength and teachers for their unwavering dedication guided by the Jesuit value of Cura Personalis (care for the whole person). He congratulated the student achievers and encouraged them to maintain consistency in effort, remain humble, and strive for excellence. He also reminded them of their social responsibility—urging them to stay compassionate, give back to society, and use their knowledge to uplift others.

Topper speeches were delivered by:
- Ms Disha Narayan – Science stream topper
- Ms Hanshitha Shetty – Commerce stream topper
- Ms G. Lavanya – Arts stream topper
Each shared heartfelt messages of gratitude towards the college and faculty for their support and mentorship.

The Chief Guest, Mr Rohit Rao, an accomplished entrepreneur, explorer, and conservationist, and an alumnus of the institution, fondly reminisced about his student days and shared insightful advice with the young achievers. He emphasized that success lies not only in marks but in skills and adaptability.
Mr Rao offered three essential tips for success:
- Accept change and stay adaptable.
- Learn, unlearn, and relearn continuously.
- Sharpen life skills – communication, public speaking, and the productive use of technology.
He inspired students to become like ISRO rockets—to rise, fail gracefully, and soar again, becoming beacons of hope and leadership for others.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of 20 state-ranking students, alongside 795 distinction holders, in the presence of their proud parents.
The programme was graced by:
- Mr Muralikrishna G.M. – Vice Principal
- Ms Vilma Fernandes – Vice Principal
