Guest Lecture on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day held at St Agnes College (Autonomous)

Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, Department of Zoology, in view of World Nature Conservation Day, organized a guest lecture on the topic “The most misunderstood creatures: human and Snake conflict” on July 28, 2023, at A2 Auditorium. Ms Sharanya Bhat, a snake conservationist, was the resource person for the session.

Mrs Ameetha K., Head-Department of Zoology, florally welcomed the Resource person.

Ms Sharanya Bhat explained the importance of snake conservation. She explained the differences between venomous and non-venomous snakes, and she also described the myths and facts related to the snakes. She highlighted a few facts that gave meaningful insights to the students.

It was a fun and interactive session. The students took an active part in the session. Overall, it was a great learning session for all.
