Development of Science and Technology in Indian Defense-Career Opportunities

Mangaluru: The Department of Political Science, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized an Interactive session by Mr Jayaprakash Rao, Former Regional PRO, DRDO Ministry of Defense, Zonal Chairman, Public Relations Council of India on the topic ‘Development of Science and Technology in Indian Defense-Career Opportunities’ on 8 June 2022.

Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., Principal presided over the programme. Mr Rao began his talk by giving the audience a glimpse about Dr Kalam and his early life as a student. He spoke about Dr Kalam’s vision for young India, the origin of ISRO, the achievement of ISRO and about various opportunities in the Indian Defence sector. Rao also shared exclusive footage of the making of Chandrayan 2 and the launch along with footage of various missions conducted by ISRO.

Rao began his talk by giving the audience a glimpse about Dr Kalam and importance of National unity. He spoke about Dr Kalam’s vision for young India, the origin of ISRO, the achievement of ISRO and about various opportunities in the Indian Defence sector. Rao also shared exclusive footage of the making of Chandrayan 2 and the launch along with footage of various missions conducted by ISRO. He encouraged the students to take interest to enter into defence and research sector. As an interactive session he answered to the queries of students. His talk created positive vibes among the audience.
