With an aim of strengthening spirituality among youth and to experience God divinity, ICYM youth different parishes namely Venur, Derebail, Angelore, Mulki, Kirem, Loretto and Fajir organised Taize prayer for their parish community on 16th, 17th and 18th March 2018.
Hundreds of laity actively participated in these services and experienced the love of God.
About Taize Prayer:
Taize prayers originated in Taize of France and is practiced around the globe which has attracted many worshipers. It involves hymns and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, liturgical readings, and icons without any preaching.
The contemplative worship practices are of the Taize ecumenical community and are promoted at different annual international conferences. Taize worship is being incorporated in a wide variety of churches and its pattern of devotion is emulated in other monastic communities around the world.
