Mangalore: St Agnes College to hold National Conference in 'Sports and Empowerment of Women'

Mangalore: The Department of Physical Education, St. Agnes College, Mangalore and Govt. First Grade College, Mudipu is jointly organizing a One Day National Conference on “Sports and empowerment of Women”. The Sport has a huge potential to empower women. In many countries, it has been recognized that sport can be a force to amplify women’s voices and tear down gender barriers and discrimination. The conference is specially organised to empower women in the field of sports. 

The Seminar will be inaugurated by Prof. Shifana Begum, Executive Director of Kalluru Educational Trust, Prof., Department of Computer Science and Engineering Srinivas University, Mukka and Chief Guest, Smt. Mamatha Gatty, DKZP Member & Ex-Zilla Panchayath President, Guest of Honour, Dr Kishore Kumar C K, Director of Physical Education, Mangaluru University. Sr Dr M. Jeswina A.C., Principal, St Agnes College and Dr Giridhar Rao M S, Principal, Govt. First Grade College will preside over the ceremony.
