Mangalore: ‘Go forward with food’ a nutrition health and fitness expo 2018 was organized by the Management, Staff and students of Father Muller College of nursing on May 5, 2018 at FMCI Campus premises.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Prof Sanjana M Shenoy, consultant dietician, Nutri Health, by the traditional opening of ‘palm jaggery,’ which symbolises goodness and auspicious beginning and is highly valued due to medicinal properties and nutrition value.
In her address Pof Shenoy congratulated the nursing fraternity for holding such an event to educate the public. She focused more on traditional eating habits of food.
President Fr Richard Coelho, the Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, remembered the age old proverb “ ootaballavanige rogavilla, mathuballavanige jagalavilla”, and the consumption of traditional food stuff like jackfruit and its seeds of it.
Sr Jacintha welcomed the gathering. Sr Deepa Peter the convenor introduced the chief guest. Mrs Shiji PJ proposed a vote of thanks.Students of 3rd year BSc lead the prayer. The programme compered by Sr Nancy Priya Mathias and Mrs. Joyce Fernandes.
