From Mangaluru to Hollywood: Josita Anola Rodrigues is the next big Super Star

A beauty pageant competition judges contestants on more than just their beauty. The judges mainly concentrate on 3 aspects: Grace, Poise, and Beauty. One such contestant who possesses all three aspects is none other than young seventeen year old Josita Anola Rodrigues from Sharada PU College, Mangaluru who not only owns the title of ‘Miss Teen South Asia 2017′ but has also landed a spot in the top ten of the World Super Model Teen contest held in Macau.

In an exclusive interview with Konkancatholic.com she reveals her journey in pageantry.

Did you always dream of becoming a beauty queen?
Ever since I was a little girl I always dreamed of being on stage. Music and dance became my flue and every time I performed the beats seemed to perfectly sink with my soul. My family always has been instrumental in encouraging me to pursue my dreams.

When did you realize about your passion in pageantry?
I joined Sizzling Guys Dance Studio where I meet a great personality named Shubhakiran Mani, the founder of the Studio who suggested trying out in pageants because I had a good height. He was the one who introduced me to Charan Suvarana of Fashion ABCD. After this, I got the opportunity to participate and win the title of Miss teen South Asia 2017 and be a part of the top ten finalists in World Teen Super Model 2017.

Congratulations on getting an invitation from Belgian film Director Fredrick De Vos for his upcoming Hollywood movie. How did it happen?
Thank you. When I represented South Asia at the World Super Model Teen Contest held in Macau, I was lucky to enough to get this wonderful opportunity. Right now, things are still being discussed regarding the movie project and will only be finalized by November.

What are your upcoming projects?
I am getting a chance to star in a Sandalwood movie and hopefully someday in a Coastalwood movie as well. I also acted in a Tulu Mega Serial “Deverna Daye”. My dream is to act with Arjun Kapikad.

What advice do you have for upcoming beauty pageant contestants?
Always have a role model because if you have someone in mind, you can go in the right direction. Many young girls can ruin their lives if not guided properly. My inspiration is Sonal Monterio who has groomed me and still advises me on many things.

Where do you see yourself in three years?
In next 3years I want to see myself as the top actress or model in the industry.
