He was delivering his inaugural address in the National level workshop on 'current developments in preserving the rights of speech and hearing impaired people’, in the premises of Father Muller Speech and Hearing College on Wednesday, 30 August.
"It is true that the speech and hearing impaired are getting various facilities from the government. Along with these facilities there is a need to create awareness about the cause of the inability and the solutions to overcome them", he said.
The guest of honour and the director of Ali Oliver Jung Speech and Hearing Institute Dr AK Sinha opined that the central government has provided special rights to the speech and hearing impaired in 2016 and hence they it has been possible for them avail special facilities.
The director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions Fr Richard Coelho presided over the function.
Administrator of the medical college Fr Rudolf Ravi D'Sa, head of medical services Dr Sanjeev Rai were among the present.
