Father Muller Homeopathic medical college pledges to go green

Mangalore, July 19: The students of Father Muller Homeopathic medical college initiated ‘Go Green’ motive by planting saplings as a part of GREEN CAMPUS INITIATION in the campus on Tuesday, 18th July.


The chief guest of the programme was Shri Ravi Kumar, Deputy Range Forest Officer the Dakshina Kannada range. In his address he highlighted the meaning of Forest i.e. ‘F’ for Food, ‘O’ for Oxygen, ‘R’ for Rainfall, ‘E’ for Ecological balance, ‘S’ for Soil Erosion Prevention and ‘T’ for Timber. He also said that Conservation of Forest and other Resources of Earth is the responsibility of all people.

Rev. Fr Sylvester V. Lobo, Asst. Administrator and President of the Programme asked the students “What is our Contribution to keep the Campus Green & Clean” and said “Let’s Think Green, Eat Green, Go Green by caring and protecting mother earth and called to create awareness about Green Campus to all.

Dr. E.S.J. Prabhukiran, Vice Principal introduced the concept of Green Campus Initiation to the gathered. Dr Sudhamathi, HOD of Dept. of Community Medicine and Convenor of the Programme thanked all who involved in Green Campus Initiation Programme.

Green Ambassador Shri Madhava Ullal and others were present at the occasion.

After the stage programme the group moved to the field to plant the saplings to mark the Green Campus initiative.

The students of III & IV BHMS along with the P.G.’s & Interns of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College took part in this programme.
