Bantwal: Borimar Parish holds Mass Communion celebration with great grandeur

Bantwal, May 21: As a part of Post Centenary Silver Jubilee celebrations of St Joseph Church, Borimar, mass communion celebration of 6 children was held in a grand manner on 20th May 2019. 

Presiding the high mass Archbishop of Bangalore Dr Peter Machado said “This memorable programme has given me new inspiration." May all the programmes of 125th year be successful, he added. He also congratulated the parish priest and pastoral council for monthly programmes held as part of celebrations and wished them the best. 

Aishal Martis, Lenora Sansia Pinto, Natasha Mendonca, Olisha Noronha, Rion Paul Martis and Sharon Rodrigues received Jesus for the first time during the Eucharist celebration. 

Belthangady Bishop Dr Lawrence Mukuzhi in his speech conveyed his wishes to the communicants and said "May the lives of children who received Holy Communion be bright." 

Bishop of the Eparchy of Puttur Dr Geevarghese Mar Macariose said that God’s blessing is necessary to be one in his work. “The celebrations of the church are spreading morals to the society.” 

Pakshikere church priest Fr Melwin Noronha blessed the children who received first Holy Communion and their parents on behalf of the priests. 

Priests from different parishes of Mangalore  Diocese graced the programme.

Parish priest Fr Gregory Pereira and pastoral council vice president Roshan Boniface Martis, secretary Preeti Lancy Pereira, teacher Mary D’ Souza and others were present. Stany D’ Souza and Eveline D’Souza compered the programme.
