Mangaluru: The valedictory ceremony of the Annual Training Camp 2025, organized by the 6 Karnataka Air Squadron NCC, was held on June 1, 2025, at the Kalam Auditorium, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor.

The event began with a vibrant cultural programme, showcasing the talent, creativity, and team spirit of the cadets, setting a lively tone for the evening.

The formal stage programme commenced with the welcoming of dignitaries. The Chief Guest for the evening was Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC. The Guests of Honour included Col. Viraj Kamath, Group Commander, NCC Group Mangalore, and Rev. Fr. Praveen Martis, S.J., Vice Chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University). Other dignitaries present were Wing Commander Praveen Bishnoi, Camp Commandant and Commanding Officer of 6 KAR AIR SQN NCC; Lt Col. P. S. Chauhan, Deputy Camp Commandant and Officer Commanding of 4 KAR Engg Coy NCC; and Dr. Alwyn D’Sa, Registrar of St Aloysius College.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Camp Report by Wing Commander Praveen Bishnoi, who provided an overview of the 10-day camp’s training modules, activities, and notable achievements. His report reflected the high level of planning, discipline, and participation that marked the entire training experience.

Following this, the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour addressed the gathering, lauding the cadets for their discipline, dedication, and enthusiasm. They encouraged the young NCC members to continue striving for excellence and to embody the core values of service, leadership, and nation-building.

A special awards ceremony recognized and felicitated cadets who excelled in various domains during the camp, including leadership, drill, academics, and cultural activities.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem and a formal dinner, bringing the curtain down on a highly successful and enriching training camp.
